Role Overview

Seeking a hands-on System Engineer to lead Citrix VDI migrations from VMware to OpenShift, and to architect hybrid-cloud environments across public and private clouds.

This project is for a Redhat OpenShift migration from VMware which is specific not just the names and software but exact experience listing Redhat OpenShift certified is a positive. Please focus on clear communication, they should also have experience with AWS if possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead migration of Citrix VDI from VMware vSphere to Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization.
  • Validate production Citrix VDI deployments on OCP Virtualization.
  • Architect and implement hybrid-cloud solutions using AWS ROSA, Azure ARO, Google Cloud Platform, and on-prem OCP/Kubernetes.
  • Migrate workloads from VMware to Kubernetes-based platforms.
  • Automate infrastructure with Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines.
  • Implement secure, scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure and monitoring solutions.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams for planning, execution, training, and documentation.

Required Experience

  • Delivered at least one Citrix VDI migration from VMware to OpenShift Virtualization.
  • Proficient in Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and optionally OpenStack.
  • Experienced with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and managed Kubernetes (ROSA, ARO).
  • Familiar with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible) and DevOps tools.
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, and monitoring.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in CS, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years in cloud, virtualization, and hybrid-cloud roles.
  • Certifications such as RHCE, DO380, DO500 are a plus.
