Batch Developer (Linux/C/SQL)

Seeking a highly skilled Senior Batch Developer with strong expertise in Linux programming and SQL to join our Provider Solutions Delivery team (Delaware Account). The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in application/software development, programming and testing within a Linux environment. This role involves working on complex batch processes, ensuring system reliability, and supporting production environments.

Key Responsibilities: 

§  Design, develop, and maintain batch applications using C, Oracle and SQL in a Linux environment.

§  Implemented version control best practices for code management

§  Participate in production support activities, including troubleshooting and resolving issues in real-time.

§  Provide 24/7 on-call support during rotation to ensure system uptime and reliability.

§  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

§  Work with XML and EDI Healthcare transactions (strongly preferred).

Requirements:

•  Code, test, debug implement and document complex programs

Analyze. design and write specs from which we develop and code programs

•  Liaise with management to provide technical consulting on complex programming projects, validate program requirements. and resolve issues that arise

•  Develop test plans and participate in QA activities such as coding reviews

•  Participate as a member of a development team

Design system components and delegate responsibilities to team members

Skills:

o   5 + years of application development and batch programming using C, UNIX and SQL (Postgres and /or Oracle)

o   Experience with Healthcare/Medicare/Medicaid IT systems is highly preferred, in particular with Managed care and Member subsystems

o   Experience with all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to include coding, testing etc.

o   Experience with software design and development methodologies
