Role: IT Business Relationship Manager
Exp: Minimum 10+yrs Exp
Location: Sacramento California
Onsite: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
We are seeking an experienced IT BRM who will provide support to different business units at the client's location. This position will collaborate with the IT PMO, Business, IT leadership team, stakeholders, business SMEs, etc., to ensure the technology needs of the assigned business units are met promptly. This person will enhance the alignment between IT and business objectives, ensuring that technology investments deliver maximum value and support strategic goals. Additionally, foster strong communication and collaboration across departments.

Mandatory Requirements

1) Ability to clearly articulate IT concepts to non-technical stakeholders and effectively listen to and understand business needs

2) Understanding of business operations, industry trends, and strategic planning to align IT initiatives with business goals and drive value

3) A solid foundation in IT infrastructure, systems, and emerging technologies to facilitate informed discussions and decision-making regarding technology solutions

4) Proven experience in building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders at various levels of the organization

5) Strong analytical skills to identify challenges, propose effective solutions, and drive continuous improvement in IT-business processes and outcomes

Technical Requirements

1) Knowledge of network, server, and database systems to effectively discuss and evaluate IT solutions with technical teams

2) Experience with frameworks like ITIL to understand service delivery, incident management, and continuous improvement processes

3) Knowledge of ERP systems and their integration within an organization to understand how business processes are supported by technology

Desirable Qualifications

Experience with strategic portfolio management and current trends in technology

Experience in bringing together consensus between departments around multiple objectives for technology solutions

Experience with resource constraints and determining critical paths for strategic technology decisions

Experience with Agile and Waterfall delivery cycles for Technology

Knowledge in utility industry and the systems supporting utilities is a plus

Assumptions

It is expected that the contractor will be available to work predominantly on-site on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Mondays and Fridays will likely be Hybrid, however subject to change. Contractor musts have reliable internet, work exclusively within the United States, and be made available for any meetings generally scheduled between the hours 9 am and 4 pm Pacific Time.
