Overview
Client is seeking an experienced Jenzabar Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead a comprehensive Finance Process Reimagination & Redesign initiative. This individual will act as a strategic project lead and functional advisor, guiding the College s Finance and IT teams through a series of structured reviews, redesigns, and implementations aimed at improving the efficiency, accuracy, and sustainability of financial operations in the JenzabarOne environment.
This is a hands-on consulting role for a seasoned Jenzabar professional who can direct traffic across multiple workstreams, engage stakeholders, and ensure alignment between technical systems and business objectives. Experience in PeopleSoft-to-Jenzabar transitions or similar higher-education ERP migrations is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Reimagine & Redesign (PRR)
- Conduct a structured review of existing Finance processes to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and manual workarounds since the JenzabarOne migration.
- Benchmark current practices against peer institutions and industry standards to recommend streamlined, compliant, and scalable workflows.
- PRR Implementation
- Support the rollout of redesigned processes, ensuring cross-departmental coordination and adoption through best-practice change management.
- Provide hands-on support in configuring workflows and improving collaboration between Finance and other College departments.
- JenzabarOne Finance Setup & Optimization
- Assess configuration, setup, and integration challenges within JenzabarOne Finance, including the chart of accounts, reporting structures, and data flows.
- Recommend and implement system-level optimizations to reduce manual work and improve reporting accuracy and consistency.
- Finance Best Practices & Controls
- Develop and recommend policies for accounting, compliance, and financial reporting.
- Establish internal controls to ensure consistency and compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
- Reporting Review & Validation
- Evaluate and validate critical Finance reports for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business needs.
- Streamline redundant reporting and ensure outputs are accurate and actionable for leadership decision-making.
- Training & Documentation
- Deliver targeted JenzabarOne and Finance process training to staff to ensure long-term adoption and confidence.
- Develop comprehensive SOPs and process documentation to embed consistency and support future scalability.
- Finance Strategy & Roadmap
- Develop a forward-looking roadmap that balances immediate stabilization goals with long-term strategic outcomes.
- Define milestones, deliverables, and success measures aligned with the College s institutional priorities.
Qualifications
- Deep functional expertise with JenzabarOne Finance, ideally in a higher education setting.
- Prior experience leading process improvement or reengineering projects involving ERP systems.
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft Financials or similar enterprise systems is a strong plus.
- Strong project management and communication skills able to translate technical issues into business terms.
- Experience developing SOPs, training materials, and process documentation.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional environment.
