Job Title: Cerner CCL Report Writer
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Cerner CCL (Command Control Language) Report Writer to develop, maintain, and optimize custom reports within our healthcare organization's Cerner Millennium environment. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with healthcare domain knowledge to create efficient and accurate reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain custom CCL reports and programs within the Cerner Millennium environment
Write complex CCL queries to extract and analyze data from Cerner databases
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Debug and troubleshoot existing reports and scripts
Optimize report performance and maintain documentation
Ensure data accuracy and validate report results
Provide technical support for end-users
Maintain security and compliance standards in reporting solutions
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
3+ years of experience with Cerner CCL programming
Strong SQL programming skills
Experience with Cerner Millennium architecture and databases
Knowledge of healthcare workflows and terminology
Understanding of HIPAA compliance and healthcare data security
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Discern Explorer and Discern Visual Developer
Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements and reporting standards
Experience with Report Writer Template Language (RTL)
Familiarity with PowerChart and other Cerner solutions
Healthcare IT certification(s)
Experience with Crystal Reports or other reporting tools
