Job Description: Oracle Cloud Transportation Management (OTM) Functional Consultant Production Support

Position Overview

The Oracle Cloud Transportation Management (OTM) Functional Consultant Production Support is responsible for ensuring the effective, reliable, and uninterrupted use of OTM Cloud applications in a live production setting. This role bridges the gap between business users and technology teams managing incidents, supporting business processes, and driving continuous improvement for transportation operations leveraging Oracle Cloud.

Key Responsibilities

Production Support & Issue Management

  • Monitor the daily health and functional performance of OTM Cloud systems, proactively identifying and resolving user or system issues.
  • Respond promptly to functional incidents, service requests, and end-user inquiries, ensuring resolution within defined SLAs.
  • Document all issues, root causes, and actions taken to build effective knowledge management and support future troubleshooting efforts.
  • Coordinate with Oracle technical support and internal IT teams to resolve complex incidents or system outages.

Business Process & Functional Analysis

  • Map, analyze, and optimize transportation and logistics business processes to ensure best utilization of OTM Cloud functionalities.
  • Gather and refine business requirements, translating them into functional OTM configurations and process improvements.
  • Support testing, validation, and deployment activities for configuration changes, product upgrades, or new module implementations.
  • Assist with regular audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory guidelines.

User Support & Training

  • Deliver end-user support and ongoing education for OTM Cloud features, new functionalities, and best practices.
  • Produce and maintain clear, user-friendly documentation, SOPs, and functional process flows.
  • Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party partners to ensure expectations are aligned and issues resolved swiftly.

Continuous Improvement & Best Practices

  • Stay up to date with Oracle Cloud releases, new OTM functionalities, and emerging transportation management trends.
  • Identify and drive process enhancements and automation opportunities for greater efficiency and user satisfaction.
  • Support periodic reviews, audits, and feedback loops to ensure continual system improvement and optimal business outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • 8+ years functional experience with Oracle Transportation Management (preferably Cloud OTM) in a production support or operational context.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation, logistics, and supply chain business processes.
  • Hands-on experience with OTM Cloud configuration, testing, documentation, and deployment support.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Customer-focused mindset, adept at translating business needs into OTM solutions.

Preferred:

  • Oracle Cloud certification in OTM or Transportation Management module(s).
  • Experience supporting cloud-based logistics platforms in large-scale environments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, or similar support methodologies.
