Immediate need for a talented Payroll Specialist. This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in New York, NY (Hybrid). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $38 - $42/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures timely processing of multi-state semi-monthly payrolls in accordance with labor regulations and standard accounting principles via Dayforce payroll system.
- Execute time and attendance processing and interface with payroll
- Processes wage garnishments, pay levies and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely manner, including reporting to the necessary State office or jurisdiction
- Assists employees and staff with general questions related to payroll, leave accruals, wage deductions, fringe benefits and other pay related issues
- Works with Benefits to coordinate leaves of absence under FMLA, Medical or other unpaid leaves
- Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records
- Processes Manual Payments/ACH transactions
- Handle unemployment claims and verifications forms as needed
- Performs other job-related duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Key Skills; Dayforce
- Payroll
- Manual Payments/ACH transactions
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Demonstrate high attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
- The ability to work under tight deadlines
- Monitor, audit, adjust and reconcile payroll data
- Strong sense of urgency in meeting customer needs
- Very strong personal communication skills must be outgoing and have the ability to work well with all levels within the organization
- Experience with Dayforce payroll system a plus
- Proven experience as a Payroll Analyst, Payroll Coordinator, or similar role
- Minimum 2 years of payroll experience (specifically processing and running payroll)
- Bachelor s degree from an accredited institution in business or Human Resources preferred
- Working knowledge of Workday HCM and Time Tracking a plus
- Finance and or General Ledger Processing a plu
