Job Description & Skill Requirement:
Competent to perform all testing and validation assignments without close supervision.
Hands-on experience on using tools like Canalyzer, Modsim (CAT V-bench experience is bonus)
Works with the engineering team to develop and execute complex test cases or scenarios which may involve multiple systems or business groups in multiple time zones
Communicate with end users and internal customers to help direct development, debugging, and testing of application software for accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness.
Performs integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of components that requires careful planning and execution to ensure timely, quality results.
Help design and set up test hardware and test bench conditions to support test plans.
Experience in Object oriented programming languages like Java, JS or Python
Experience with behavior-driven development(BDD) frameworks preferably Web Driver IO
Experience using Azure DevOps
Familiarity with cloud technologies like Azure, AWS
Experience in setting up test equipment & cabling.
Experience with industrial protocols like J1939 & Modbus
Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time
Must Have:
- Test plan and test script creation, JINX
- Test script creation using Playwright scripting
- Test script creation has to be completed and deployed to CI/CD frontend pipeline when story is merged and closed
- Test scripts need to be capable of creating bugs in DevOps, show the failure and include a log & trace of signal states and modules running at the time of failure
- Playwright test scripts should be executed on nightly build automatically based on the schedule
