Summary
This position is being recruited under 10 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Expert Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Central Field Command.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Basic Requirements:
Education:
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study electrical or electronic engineering, mathematics, physics, public utilities, statistics, computer science, telecommunications management, information systems management, business administration, industrial management, or other fields related to the position to be filled.
OR
Experience:
Experience in evaluating, analyzing, developing, managing, or improving communications systems, procedures, and requirements that demonstrated knowledge of current developments and trends in communications concepts and technology.
And
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-15, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Managing resources for network implementation and installation programs, leading cross-functional teams involved in network projects, and coordinating and overseeing network plans and schedules.
Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement.

Duties
Help
- Leads cross-functional government and contractor teams managing complex, high-visibility IT programs in fast-paced, schedule-driven environments.
- Consults with customers to evaluate functional requirements and translates them into technical solutions.
- Identifies tasks and schedules required to maintain service levels within the Defense Information Systems Network (DISN).
- Manages information technology projects to deliver unique services and products.
- Assists customers and DISA staff in resolving strategic and tactical communications interoperability issues.

- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.

- The incumbent must maintain readiness for 24-hour recall to duty during non-work periods.
