Position: Junior Systems Engineer - Microsoft 365 and Azure Specialist

Role Summary: We are in search of an experienced, adaptable, and motivated Junior Systems Engineer to join our accomplished Technical Services team. Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the IT industry.
  • A minimum of 2 years working in a helpdesk role, preferably in an escalation role.
  • A minimum of 2 years working within a VAR (Value-Added Reseller) or MSP (Managed Service Provider), an emphasis on technical migrations or M&A activities is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability, coupled with exceptional technical and problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement through self-study and staying up-to-date with evolving tools and technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate seamlessly within a team.
  • Passion for and hands-on experience with the Microsoft Office 365 suite (Including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Office 365 and Azure migration methods, tools, and processes, especially using both MS and 3rdparty tools like SkyKick, Bit Titan, MoveBot, CloudFuze, or similar.
  • Moderate level of experience with traditional IT infrastructure including servers, virtualization, common backup practices, Active Directory domains, and network infrastructure.
  • Moderate level of experience with some or all MS Azure cloud PAAS/SAAS/IAAS offerings, Virtual networks, AVD, etc.
  • Proven track record of thriving in a remote work environment, demonstrating proactive, independent, and responsible work ethics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the analysis of business content, documents, work processes, and existing on-premise/cloud infrastructure to help develop tailored migration solutions for each client.
  • Facilitate in-depth discussions on Office 365 suite, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Teams Phones, and OneDrive migrations. Manage migrations from platforms like Box, Dropbox, Google Workspace, and similar.
  • Assist with the assessment and execution of migrations for on-premise systems into Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including Intune MDM deployments.
  • Possess familiarity with the design, usage, and deployment of Microsoft Intune MDM, and Autopilot, including migrations from existing on-premise domain/workgroup configurations.
  • Provide consistent, communicative support to client stakeholders and internal team members throughout the migration journey, ensuring regular updates and effective issue resolution.
  • Take ownership of diagnosing and resolving hardware and software infrastructure issues.
  • Serve as an escalation point for helpdesk engineers and support tickets requiring a more experienced engineer. Includes responding to or coordinating response for emergency client needs in a timely and professional manner (during scheduled shift)
