Role: Full-Stack Developer, Senior
Supporting: Large Financial Services Client
Location: Onsite - McLean, VA
Position Description: We're seeking a seasoned Senior Full-Stack Developer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys solving complex technical challenges. This role offers the opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge technologies including Java, Spring Boot, Angular, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and Kubernetes. You'll be instrumental in designing and building scalable microservices, optimizing database performance, and driving automation across CI/CD pipelines. Ideal candidates bring deep experience in cloud platforms (AWS), test automation (Cucumber/Cypress), and Agile delivery practices. If you're passionate about building reliable, flexible systems and enjoy thinking holistically about architecture and performance, we'd love to connect.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years in Java-based application and web service development (JSON/XML).
Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Angular/NodeJS, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and microservices using Docker/Kubernetes.
Experience with CI/CD tools (Maven, Gradle, Jenkins), test automation (Cucumber/Cypress), and Agile practices (Jira, Bitbucket).
Familiarity with AWS Cloud and OpenShift; nice-to-have skills include Ping, LDAP, Hashicorp, and Autosys/Control-M.
Strong communication, proactive mindset, and a holistic approach to building reliable, high-performing systems.
