Job Title: Looker Architect
Location: USA (Remote)

Job Description:
- Lead the Looker architecture design and best practices across projects., Architect - has to be Also provide training , project scoping etc.(Must Have skills)
- Define the enterprise-level BI and Looker strategy for UMG's data platform.
- Architect scalable LookML models, data layers, and semantic layers.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to optimize data pipelines and schemas for Looker consumption.
- Review and enforce LookML coding standards, naming conventions, and folder structures.
- Guide developers in designing efficient dashboards and explore experiences.
- Set up and manage Looker's security model, including user access, groups, and row-level permissions.
- Lead efforts to migrate legacy BI platforms to Looker (if applicable).
- Evaluate and recommend third-party tools or custom plugins to extend Looker capabilities.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of Looker architecture and development experience.
- Strong expertise in LookML, SQL, and cloud data warehouses (BigQuery preferred).
- Deep understanding of dimensional modeling, semantic layers, and BI governance.
- Experience working with large-scale datasets and optimizing Looker performance.
- Ability to design and lead BI projects end-to-end.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with CI/CD for LookML, Git, and deployment automation is a plus.
