Overview
Our client is an award winning global integrator supporting a major branch of our Armed Forces. They have a need for a Cybersecurity Risk and Mission Assurance Consultant to work a hybrid schedule at the Pentagon. In this role you will lead OT-focused mission mapping and risk assessments, deliver strategic briefings, facilitate stakeholder collaboration, ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks, and align mission requirements with critical vulnerabilities
Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizens with an ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE.

Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Certifications (CISSP, CISM, GICSP) - 3+ years holding and applying credentialed expertise
ICS Protocols & Automation (Modbus, DNP3, OPC) - 3+ years configuring and securing control?system communications
Scripting & Tool Development (Python, PowerShell, Ansible) - 2+ years automating vulnerability discovery and reporting
Cloud & Edge OT Architectures - 2+ years integrating OT environments with AWS/Azure/edge platforms
Supply Chain Risk Management - 2+ years assessing vendor and component risk in critical infrastructure
DoD Acquisition & Funding Processes - 2+ years supporting requirements definition and budget planning
Risk Visualization & Analytics (PowerBI, Splunk, ArcGIS) - 2+ years presenting mission?impact dashboards
Emergency Response & Incident Management - 2+ years coordinating cyber?physical incident exercises and after?action analyses

Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical expert supporting the Mission Mapping Prioritization effort.
- Ensure alignment with mission-critical cyber operations across the US Armed Forces critical infrastructure.
- Develop, execute, and oversee strategies for prioritizing cyber vulnerabilities based on: Mission Impact and Operational Risk
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders at all levels, including: Base-level Operational Teams and Senior Leadership
- Ensure accurate risk assessment, mission alignment, and effective implementation of cybersecurity measures.
- Possess extensive knowledge in:
- Risk management frameworks
- Mission assurance methodologies
- Cybersecurity governance

Qualifications
- 5+ years hands-on OT/ICS security experience: Secure SCADA, control system networks, and industrial environments, embedding cybersecurity measures without disrupting operations.
- 5+ years leading mission mapping and vulnerability prioritization effort: Applying risk-based frameworks to translate technical findings into mission impact scores and remediation roadmaps.
- 3+ years leverage AI and data analytics tools: Automate threat detection, enrich risk models, and dynamically adjust prioritization as operational conditions evolve.
- 5+ years of experience briefing senior leadership and engaging stakeholders at all levels: Distilling complex assessments into clear, actionable recommendations for base-level teams and Pentagon decision-makers.
- 5+ years of program governance and compliance: Govern programs to ensure compliance with NIST RMF, NIST CSF, DoD instructions, and Air Force policy, continuously refining processes through cross-functional workshops and after-action insights.

Compensation:
- W2 Hourly rate: $85 - $90. Pay rates are based on experience, qualifications, location, and certifications, and are subject to change at any time.
