Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to lead complex bridge and transportation structure design projects. This position offers the opportunity to take full ownership of technical delivery, mentor junior staff, and collaborate closely with public sector clients. The Senior Engineer will play a key role in ensuring high-level technical quality, leading QA/QC efforts, and advancing engineering standards for the bridge group.

Responsibilities:

• Lead design efforts for complex bridge and transportation structures
• Review and approve project documents and design calculations
• Serve as a technical expert for advanced bridge engineering concepts
• Perform QA/QC and ensure all project standards and objectives are met
• Mentor and supervise less experienced staff on technical assignments
• Develop and refine internal technical standards and guidelines
• Collaborate with clients, project teams, and stakeholders throughout project delivery
• Support business development activities as needed

Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Master’s degree preferred (or in progress)
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 8+ years of bridge engineering experience
• Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design standards
• Proficient with bridge analysis/design software (LARSA, LEAP Bridge, LPILE, SPColumn, MDX)
• Experience working on DOT bridge projects
• Familiarity with MicroStation software
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
