Support Engineering Technical Manager (Level K)

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), Customer Support organization is seeking an innovative and adaptable Support Engineering Technical Manager (Level K)to join our Illustrated Parts Catalog/Data (IPC/IPD) team in San Diego, CA.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Manages employees developing, implementing, integrating and supporting customer training, support data, and field and engineering support in the area of Support Engineering.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Work Authorization:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at San Diego, CA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience in effectively leading teams
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to interpret various data sources and make decisions to deliver results
  • Experience communicating and collaborating directly with peers, other employees, and all levels of stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with IPC/IPD technical publication data sources, tools, and processing
  • Experience with metric development and analysis
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent college degree/certification
  • Proven ability to lead with the Boeing Values
  • Demonstrated ability in team building, coaching, and employee development to enhance team performance and engagement
  • Solid technical background with the ability to guide and mentor the team
