Job Title: ServiceNow Developer
Location: Remote
Duration: 6+ Months (Contract)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Developer to design, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications and integrations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise across the ServiceNow platform, hands-on development experience, and a solid understanding of ITSM and ITIL processes.

Key Responsibilities

ServiceNow Platform Expertise

  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture (tables, scripts, workflows, ACLs, etc.).

  • Experience with ITSM modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and CMDB.

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow App Engine for building custom applications.

Scripting & Development

  • Proficiency in JavaScript for ServiceNow scripting.

  • Hands-on experience with Glide API (GlideRecord, GlideSystem, GlideAjax, etc.).

  • Development of Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, Client Scripts, Workflow Scripts.

  • Service Portal development using AngularJS, HTML, and CSS.

  • Building integrations with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs.

Configuration & Administration

  • Configure workflows, Flow Designer, and automation rules.

  • Set up forms, fields, and UI actions.

  • Manage access control rules (ACLs).

  • Configure and support Service Catalog and Request Management.

ITSM & ITIL Knowledge

  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices (especially Incident, Change, Problem, and Asset Management).

  • Experience with SLA configurations, escalations, and notifications.

Integration & Automation

  • Utilize Integration Hub for no-code/low-code integrations.

  • Implement Orchestration for automating IT tasks.

  • Configure and maintain MID Server for on-premise integrations.

Performance & Troubleshooting

  • Use debugging tools such as Script Debugger and System Logs.

  • Optimize script and query performance.

  • Monitor and maintain instance health.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

  • Ensure data protection and encryption compliance.

  • Adhere to governance and compliance frameworks.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Create dashboards, reports, and performance analytics.

  • Develop CMDB-related reporting and SLA tracking.
