Job Details
job title: VBA Modeler
- Duration: 6 months to 1 year (potential for extension)
- Location: Primarily remote, but must be able to travel to New Jersey a few days per month
- Industry Experience: Pharmaceutical/Life Science experience is required- do not source peeps from Merck
- Experience Level: 3 8 years in the life sciences space. Don t go above 8 years of experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced Excel models using VBA for automation and data processing
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable VBA solutions
- Optimize existing models for performance, usability, and maintainability
- Integrate Excel models with external data sources (e.g., Access, SQL, CSV)
- Document code, logic, and usage instructions for end users and support teams
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in VBA development within Excel
- Proven track record of building and maintaining complex financial or operational models
- Strong understanding of Excel functions, formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization
- Experience working in a client-facing or consulting environment
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
