Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Risk Management consultant to support the development, implementation, and oversight of risk programs within First Line Risk Management function of the company. This role will partner closely with business leaders, operational teams, and control functions to ensure effective identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting of risks in alignment with enterprise risk management frameworks. The consultant will provide subject matter expertise to strengthen risk governance, control effectiveness, and operational efficiency while enabling the business to achieve its strategic objectives in a sustainable manner.
Program-level deliverables will include support of risk programs, such as Risk & Control Self Assessment, Operational Risk Events, Model Risk Management, Controls Testing, Issues Management, etc. Project-level deliverables will require engagement across a broad group of stakeholders, providing support in the development of governance documents, reporting requirements (data input/analysis), QA/QC monitoring reviews, training & communications, technology design reviews, and other administrative development necessary in the formal structure of risk programs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience in Financial Services and First Line Risk, Enterprise Risk or Operational Risk
  • High School Diploma or GED and 8+ years of experience in Financial Services and First Line Risk, Enterprise Risk or Operational Risk.
  • Experience with development of governance materials and management reporting
  • Experience monitoring and overseeing risk metrics inclusive of reviewing action plans and escalation protocols
  • Knowledge of risk techniques, practices, and control frameworks
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint presentation skills (building executive reporting)
  • Knowledge of various banking and government regulatory requirements and processes
  • Knowledge of regulatory guidance pertaining to enterprise risk and operational risk
  • Ability to work effectively with associates, management, and various committees
  • Knowledge of building, executing, and supporting a first line risk management program
  • Exceptional communication skills across all levels of leadership
  • Ability to track and coordinate large, complex processes
  • Finance or Risk Management Expertise
  • Experience working with a Large Financial Institution

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $51.72/hr.
