About the Role

As an Information Security Engineering Consultant, you will play a strategic role in supporting large-scale cybersecurity initiatives. You'll consult on complex challenges, contribute to long-term planning, and help enhance the organization's data loss prevention (DLP) capabilities. This role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity risk management, regulatory compliance, and operational governance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead governance activities for the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) program, including:
    • Issue management
    • Operational governance
    • Exception handling
    • Policy subject matter expertise
  • Aggregate and report cybersecurity risks from multiple sources:
    • Policy violations and exceptions
    • Stakeholder concerns
    • Operational exceptions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve cybersecurity posture and reduce data loss risks.
  • Provide strategic consultation on security engineering initiatives with broad organizational impact.
  • Analyze complex, multi-faceted security challenges and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, GLBA, CCPA) and security frameworks (e.g., NIST).
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Security Engineering or equivalent (e.g., consulting, military, education).
  • Proven expertise in cybersecurity risk management and DLP operations.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and security control frameworks.
  • Excellent program management and communication skills.
  • Experience with cyber risk or IT audit practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operationalizing DLP programs and integrating with cyber defense tools and processes.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level cybersecurity governance routines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
