Senior PowerFlex Engineer: (Remote)

Location: REMOTE but prefer someone in NY or NJ to be able to meet team if needed

PowerFlex management and administration. PowerFlex 4.X

Scope Details

 

Resource must have hands on knowledge of PowerFlex management and administration. Experience with PowerFlex 4.X preferred
Provide knowledge transfer for the client on day-to-day management and operation of the PowerFlex to help easy their transition into use of the product. Resource will work remote, however must be willing to meet in person with the team or go onsite if the customer requests this at any time. The majority of the team is in the NY/NJ area and the customer would prefer a resource in that area. This would make it easier if the team needs to meet in person.

Core Technical Skills

  1. PowerFlex Administration (formerly VxFlex)
    • Installation, configuration, and maintenance
    • Understanding of PowerFlex Manager
    • Experience managing storage pools, protection domains, volumes, and SDC/SDS components
  2. PowerFlex 4.X Experience (Preferred)
    • Familiarity with new features and enhancements in version 4.X
    • Hands-on experience with upgraded UI/UX (if applicable), APIs, and orchestration changes
  3. Linux System Administration
    • As PowerFlex often runs on Linux-based nodes, good knowledge of RHEL/CentOS or Ubuntu is important
  4. Networking Knowledge
    • Understanding of networking concepts as they relate to storage systems (IP-based SAN, VLANs, MTU, etc.)
  5. VMware Integration
    • PowerFlex is often used in VMware environments familiarity with vSphere, vCenter, and related integrations is a plus
  6. CLI & API Proficiency
    • Ability to perform tasks via command line and use REST APIs for automation or scripting
