Job Title: Manual Quality Assurance (QA) Tester
Job Type: Contract (40 hours per week, onsite)
Opportunity for Conversion: Contract may convert to full-time for the right candidate
Location: San Francisco downtown
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced QA Tester to join our team as a key contributor to ensuring the quality of our internal design work execution tool. This tool is built using TypeScript and plays a critical role in supporting our organization's product development initiatives. As the sole QA professional, you will collaborate closely with a talented team of 8 engineers and report directly to the SVP of Product and Technology.
In this role, you will take charge of writing test scripts, leveraging existing test plans, and making an immediate impact by hitting the ground running. Your responsibilities will also include managing testing efforts in Jira and working with the team in an Agile Scrum environment. Daily stand-ups are held at 4 PM to ensure alignment and progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive test scripts to maintain the quality of the internal work execution tool.
Utilize existing test plans to perform manual and/or automated testing as required.
Act as the sole QA team member, collaborating closely with a team of 8 engineers to identify and resolve issues.
Report findings, test progress, and results directly to the SVP of Product and Technology.
Use Jira for tracking bugs, test cases, and managing tasks effectively.
Participate in Agile Scrum methodology, including regular stand-ups scheduled at 4 PM.
Ensure the software meets functional, performance, and reliability standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and frameworks.
Qualifications:
8+ years of QA experience demonstrating a proven ability to deliver results in fast-paced environments.
Strong expertise in TypeScript and experience writing test scripts using appropriate frameworks and tools.
Familiarity with Jira for bug tracking and task management.
Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment; ability to adapt to rapid iterations and collaborative workflows.
Ability to work onsite and commit to 40 hours per week; must be flexible and focused.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills.
Self-motivated and proactive, capable of working independently without direct supervision.

At least 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a proven track record of delivering results in dynamic environments.

Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies and the ability to adapt to iterative development cycles.
