We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our clients NetOps team in Anaheim, CA, supporting critical network infrastructure. This role combines Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, focusing on incident response, network troubleshooting, and project deployment. The position requires onsite presence near the Disneyland Resort and participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
Key Responsibilities
- Incident Response & Monitoring: Monitor DNs (Dedicated Networks), Reedy Creek, Retail, and C3PO environments using tools like LogicMonitor and ServiceNow. Respond to ticketed incidents and requests via chat channels, ensuring resolution.
- On-Call Support: Participate in a 4-person, 24/7 on-call rotation using PagerDuty (12-hour shifts, 7 days, alternating day/night weeks). Provide first response to network issues, with shifts scheduled from 6am/6pm.
- Network Maintenance: Perform MAC (Moves, Adds, Changes) work, accept new network handoffs, and execute configuration compliance and OS currency updates via RITM.
- Project Deployment: Support network deployments, including iOS upgrades and security feature implementation, primarily during off-hours (Monday-Thursday nights).
- Troubleshooting: Conduct Layer 2/3 troubleshooting (Ethernet, routing, switches) to maintain network stability across Cisco-based infrastructure.
Supported Networks
- DNs: Dedicated networks for locations at clients site
- Reedy Creek: Network support for power and emergency services.
- Retail: Connectivity for retail stores across North America, in collaboration with a dedicated Retail Support group.
- C3PO: Disney Global Network (DGN) connectivity to cloud providers (AWS, Google, Azure), focusing on transport networks (routers/switches).
Required Skills & Experience
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong Layer 2/3 troubleshooting skills (Ethernet, routing, switches).
- Working knowledge of Cisco equipment (CCNP-level expertise, certification not required).
- Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls (functionality and operation, though supported by another team).
- Experience with cloud transport solutions (AWS, Google, Azure).
- Proficiency with tools like ServiceNow and LogicMonitor.
- Availability: Must be local to Anaheim, CA, and able to work onsite 5 days/week
- On-Call Commitment: Comfortable with a 24/7 on-call rotation, including a 24-hour shift during day/night transitions (6pm Sunday-6pm Monday).
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Normal Hours: Business hours with additional after-hours work (post-Park hours or pre-start-of-day) for planned maintenance, typically Monday-Thursday nights.
- On-Call Rotation: Two weeks on-call (one week nights, one week days) followed by two weeks off-call in a 4-person rotation. Shifts begin Monday 6pm and end Sunday 6pm two weeks later.
- Weekend Work: Primarily reserved for incident response.
