About the Role
As the Director of User Experience, you'll spearhead a global team in both research and design. This pivotal role offers the unique opportunity to lead a major product update, leveraging our unparalleled collection of over 17,000 news and business data sources. You'll be at the forefront of integrating cutting-edge generative AI technologies to transform user experiences. Responsibilities
  • Design and structure product interfaces, including layout, style, and components.
  • Translate user processes into clear and functional user interfaces and navigation flows.
  • Conduct user research, including customer visits, lab testing, task analysis, and satisfaction surveys, to identify user needs and behaviors.
  • Present usability findings and recommendations to project teams and sr leadership.
  • Develop and maintain UI standards and style guides.
  • Modify prototypes based on user feedback and write final design specifications, ensuring usability and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure interfaces are intuitive, modern, and consistent across products.
  • Lead multiple teams of managers and sr professionals to achieve operational and functional goals.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the discipline and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop departmental plans and policies, ensuring alignment with the broader organizational strategy.
  • Deliver results in dynamic, fast-paced, and regulatory-driven environments.

Requirements
  • Functional Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of UI/UX design principles, internal standards, and industry best practices.
  • Business Expertise: Deep understanding of business operations, with the ability to align design strategies with business goals.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage and guide diverse teams of managers and sr professionals.
  • Problem-Solving: Skilled in addressing complex, multi-dimensional challenges using innovative approaches.
  • Impact and Accountability: Responsible for team performance, financial oversight, resource planning, and policy development.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including sr executives and industry partners.
  • Proven track record in leading user-centered design projects.
  • Experience in setting and maintaining UI/UX standards.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to articulate design insights and recommendations effectively.
