Job Title: LAN Administrator
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Work Schedule: In-office position, 5 days/week


Job at a Glance

A LAN Administrator contractor is needed in Salt Lake City, Utah. Under general supervision, this role provides support and maintenance of computer hardware and software. Troubleshoots PC and Local Area Network problems. Responsible for working in multi-platform environments with multiple business areas. Will assist with end user support and answering support tickets.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience with mobile workforce and data communications.

  • Technical knowledge and experience with computer hardware, software applications, and operating systems.

  • Knowledge of LAN, WAN network protocols.

  • Ability to work on technically complicated systems with little supervision.

  • Ability to analyze principles of computer and software systems to interpret and solve problems.

  • Basic familiarity with Office365.

  • Ability to lift or move up to thirty-five pounds.

  • Ability to contribute to a positive work environment.

  • Ability to be courteous to co-workers and customers, follow directions from supervisors, and refrain from abusive or profane language.

  • Ability to respond to multiple customer and employee/contractor requests or demands and manage workload by wisely prioritizing tasks and adjusting to the situation at hand.

Required Certifications:

  • Must have valid driver's license and be able to drive.

  • CompTIA A+ or MCSE Desktop Infrastructure certification.

Required Years of Experience:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a LAN administrator.

Education:

  • Minimum of associate’s degree.

Preferred Industry Experience:

  • Previous experience with a regulated industry or a utility.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.

Additional Requirements:

  • Local candidates to Salt Lake City, UT ONLY.

  • Will be dealing with Private Personal Information (PPI), Company Sensitive Information, or Credit Sensitive Information.

Interview Process:

  • Initial interview will be on Teams.

  • Follow-up interview will be In-Person (as requested).
