Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structured Cabling Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of our cabling projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structured cabling systems, along with excellent project management skills and the ability to lead teams to success. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with talented professionals, and contribute to the growth and success of our company.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination: Lead the planning and scheduling of structured cabling projects, including resource allocation, timeline development, and budget management.
Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Team Leadership: Manage project teams consisting of technicians, engineers, and subcontractors, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure project objectives are met.
Quality Assurance: Oversee the implementation of structured cabling systems according to industry standards and best practices, ensuring quality, reliability, and compliance with client requirements.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project success, develop mitigation strategies, and take proactive measures to minimize disruptions and delays.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, schedules, budgets, and progress reports, and communicate project status to stakeholders.
Travel: Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to project sites, client meetings, and company offices as needed.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
Proven experience in structured cabling project management, including planning, execution, and delivery of projects on time and within budget.
Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems, industry standards (e.g., ANSI/TIA-568, ISO/IEC 11801), and best practices.
Certifications such as CCNA, ECSE, and RCDD are a big plus.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and vendors.
Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Smartsheet).
Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
