The candidate needs to live in Des Moines, IA and can work remotely.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required, with completed technical training in electrical engineering, electrical installation, or radio/television technology
  • 2 - 4 years of relevant experience
  • Professional experience in the installation and commissioning of electronic devices
  • Knowledge and experience in the radio field (HF/mobile radio, spectrum analyzer) is an advantage
  • Proficient with Windows operating systems and Office applications
  • Willingness to work away from home, flexible working hours, and openness to learning new skills
  • Good spoken and written English

Hiring Manager is looking for someone local in the area but can work remotely.

Summary:

The main function of a Field Technician is the planning, expansion, and commissioning of radio network/repeater systems on site. Work locations may include workshops of manufacturers and operators of trains, technical rooms in railway and road tunnels, shopping centers, airports, football stadiums, and other facilities.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform acceptance measurements using a spectrum analyzer
  • Create system documentation, measurement reports, and maintenance reports
  • Provide product support and act as technical contact for customers, both by phone and on site
  • Conduct fault rectification, system measurements, error analysis, and maintenance work
