This role spans both discovery and implementation, with focus on rationalizing multiple sites, defining reusable architecture, and supporting the transition to AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) or equivalent.
Key Responsibilities:
Discovery Phase
Conduct current-state assessment of AEM implementations across multiple business units and regions
Identify component, template, and codebase commonalities to support unification across 150+ sites
Define reference architecture and target-state blueprint (including AEM Cloud, CI/CD, security, and localization)
Lead technical workshops to align stakeholders on architectural standards, governance, and performance goals
Contribute to the business case by estimating cost savings through reuse, standardization, and cloud efficiency
Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and Business teams to define environment and deployment requirements
Implementation Phase
Own the technical design and supervise execution of AEM implementation/refactoring efforts
Define and review standards for component development, workflows, integrations, and content modeling
Guide the creation of a shared component library and design system across master and regional sites
Support code consolidation, environment migration, and content strategy alignment

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams and vendors
