RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Material Flows Engineer in Sutin, TX.

Overview:
The candidate will be a PE on the Material Flow Engineering team that will be responsible for the efficient and reliable flow of material to the manufacturing lines. As a Senior Project Engineer you are responsible for managing and owning automated material handling projects from -cradle to grave-. This includes the design, implementation and continuous improvement of automated material handling equipment such as automated storage systems, final assemble conveyance such as car bodies, batteries, and drive units, etc. Besides owning the design and technical scope of a project, staff engineers also provide leadership and guidance to other engineers and stakeholders. A Senior Engineer's role is to make sure that MFE system's designs meet goals and objectives. Traditional PM functions such as timelines, budgets and coordination's with vendors and other groups also the responsibility of the project engineer on the material flow team.

Responsibilities:
* Design automated material handling solutions to establish new and improved existing material flows throughout the factory. The design includes material arrival at docks, delivery to line-side locations, material transport between internal manufacturing lines, buffer/storage systems, robotic material handling solutions; Solutions will handle a large variety of products such as car bodies, large commodities (tires, seats, fascia, etc.), powertrain parts (electric motor components), pallets/boxes/trays, individual battery cells
* Concept development, detailed engineering design, and collaboration with 3rd parties on system build, integration, and testing
* Specify equipment in the form of project specifications and requirements
* Leverage outside partners for solution development and design
* Managing project scope, budget, timeline, and implementation
* Lead the overall layout and system design process

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering (or equivalent)
* 10+ years of practical automated material handling and process equipment design experience in industries such as automotive, consumer goods/food and beverage manufacturing, distribution, and semiconductor
* A passion to work with automation equipment and design processes around it
* Ability to lead a project from concept through to installation and hand-over while working in a close-knit, team environment
* Must understand the integration of equipment design into existing or new systems
* Values people, ethics, commitment, fun and an engaging culture
* Knowledge of and experience with material flow strategies and dynamic manufacturing systems
* Strong analytical and organizational skills; Ability to manage several complex projects at the same time with high degrees of variation and uncertainty
* Natural ability to speak and write effectively at all organizational levels
* Position will offer unique and complex engineering challenges that require persistence, innovative thinking and a positive attitude
* Able to work graveyard shift 6pm-6am or 7pm-7am

Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Engineering

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
