Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience supporting cybersecurity teams while navigating ambiguity and ability to drive clarity in rapidly evolving environments
Comfortable facilitating cross-departmental workshops and post-mortems
Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risks, and best practices.
Familiarity with tools such as SailPoint, OKTA, Oracle HCM, and other cloud security tools and enterprise tools
Experience with custom software development, SaaS implementations, and system integrations.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Monday.com, MS Project, Smartsheet)
Presenting, communicating and articulating effectively to all levels of the organization (including technical and non-technical audiences, Senior Leadership, VPs and C-Level Executives).
Ability to interface with senior-level stakeholders in both Information Technology and the business units to partner on project scope, risk mitigation and issue resolution.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and negotiation skills and excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Collaboration: Builds strong relationships across teams and functions.
Adaptability: Navigates changing priorities and shifting business needs
Detail-Oriented: Maintains precision in planning, execution, and reporting.
Work Experience:
6 or more years of project management experience, with demonstrated success leading complex cybersecurity projects from initiation through closure.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities in fast-paced enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principals, frameworks and technologies, endpoint protection, etc.
Expertise in project lifecycle methodologies and ability to leverage hybrid approaches per project.
Overview:
Senior Project Manager: Lead and deliver complex, high-impact technology initiatives across our enterprise. This role will be responsible for planning, executing, and completing a diverse portfolio of cybersecurity and technology projects, including:
Large-scale cybersecurity initiatives
Custom software development projects
Implementation of out-of-the-box and SaaS solutions
System integrations and proof-of-concept (POC) deployments, and enhancements to existing enterprise systems
The Senior Project Manager will own and drive all aspects of the project lifecycle, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget. Acting as a strategic liaison between business and technology stakeholders, this role ensures that project decisions remain aligned with the business case and organizational goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Project leadership and execution:
Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of complex projects in cybersecurity, identity and access management (IAM), cloud security, compliance and risk mitigation
Develop detailed project plans, timelines and stakeholder identification, ensuring on-time and within-scope delivery
Implement and advocate for PMO standards, governance, templates, and toolkits
Drive all project activities to on-time, on-budget completion while maintaining a high level of quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
Business Alignment & Stakeholder Management:
Partner with engineering, security, IT, HR, finance and business stakeholders to align project goals with strategic outcomes
Serve as a primary liaison between business and technology teams, translating technical requirements into clear business outcomes in collaboration with the BISO.
Communicate the business case, document requirements and maintain scope to team members and keep it central to decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Partner with senior leadership to ensure alignment on project scope, strategy, and success criteria.
Facilitate alignment and preparedness with other technology and business areas impacted by the project.
Communication & Reporting:
Monitor and report on project performance through dashboards, executive summaries, KPIs and status reports, tailored for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement across the PMO and project teams
Produce and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, risk logs, and change requests.
Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, fostering collaboration and transparency.
