Job Title: System Programmer III

Location: Remote

Join our dynamic ICT Tech Support team as a System Programmer III. This remote role is perfect for an experienced professional who thrives in a collaborative environment. You'll be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our systems infrastructure, providing technical expertise, and supporting disaster recovery processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the integrity of the overall systems infrastructure through informed systems programming decisions.
  • Develop and debug programs to maintain and control computer systems software.
  • Provide technical expertise for disaster recovery processes.
  • Support and maintain the Mainframe CICS environment daily.
  • Collaborate with IBM, vendors, and various technical groups to support real-time business functions.
  • Participate in standard day shifts with occasional after-hours support, including weekends, and rotational on-call duties.

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4 years of IT experience, including varied programming experience.
  • Proficiency in working with IBM and vendor utilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of CICS/TS internals and operations.
  • Excellent communication skills for interfacing with various teams and management staff.
  • Hands-on experience with z/OS versions and releases, including CICS TS V5.6 & V6.1, CPSM, CICS Explorer, SMF, JCL, SMPE, TSO, SDSF, RACF, SVC Dumps, MQ, CA Sysview, TCP/IP, CAFC, IPCS, DB2, IMS, VSAM.

Preferred Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Experience in the securities or financial services industry.
  • Proficiency in Mainframe Disaster Recovery/Data Center rotations.
  • Expertise in JCL and various vendor utility programs.
  • Debugging experience with COBOL, Assembler, and CICS API programming.
