The Lockheed Martin Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer - Early Career to be part of a team developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity.
As a member of the NGI team, you will provide key contributions to various groups within the Systems Engineering and Integration (SEI) organization.
The successful candidate will have knowledge spanning most of the system engineering subject areas to include system design, architecture development, CONOPS, requirements definition, allocation, maintenance, verification/validation, system integration, systems analysis, integration assembly, and test.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Support major design reviews at the vehicle, subsystem, and unit-level.
Contribute to working groups with customer representatives and LM SMEs from various disciplines within NGI.
Work closely with geographically dispersed teams composed of various engineering disciplines.
Assist with preparations and CDRL submissions at regular intervals and in support of CDRs
Assist with developing and refining requirements and verification plans.
Some travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications
Knowledge of requirements and verification
Knowledge within one or more of the following areas:
a. Requirements Development, Decomposition, and Allocation
b. Vehicle-level Specification Development and Management
c. System-level Analysis
d. System Integration
Active or Current Secret Security clearance; ship Required
Desired skills
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
Knowledge with one or more of the following:
a. Supporting Major Design Reviews
b. Missile System Development
c. Hardware/Software Integration Verification
d. CONOPS or System Architecture Development
Support of System-level Trade Studies

Work Schedule Information

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,400 - $129,260. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
