Title: Business Systems Analyst
Location: Hybrid Birmingham, AL / Pittsburgh, PA / Strongsville, OH / Phoenix, AZ / Dallas, TX
Type: Contract (W2)

About the Role

We re looking for a Business Systems Analyst who brings strong technology expertise and can focus on system requirements, not just business processes. You ll work closely with stakeholders, help shape system designs, and ensure that technical requirements are clearly defined and delivered as part of agile teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable software/system requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, refine, and document requirements.
  • Support release planning, including managing releases in Service Now.
  • Help coordinate or run agile ceremonies and contribute to PI planning (SAFe).
  • Create technical documentation: process flows, sequence diagrams, and detailed user stories (using Gherkin).
  • Ensure that requirements align with micro services, API design, and overall solution architecture.
  • Work closely with developers and testers throughout the SDLC.

Required:

  • Strong understanding of Agile, SAFe, and SDLC.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Visio, Service Now.
  • Skilled in requirement elicitation, stakeholder management, and backlog refinement.
  • Ability to create technical diagrams (process, sequence, flow).
  • Experience writing technical user stories and using BDD / Gherkin.
  • Familiarity with Micro services and API requirement definition.
  • Dynatrace, Postman.
  • IAM (Identity Access Management) experience.
  • Prior development background.
  • Comfortable with Bit bucket.
  • Technical analysis, process flow diagramming.
