Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a ServiceNow Administrator for a remote short term consulting assignment.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a ServiceNow System Administrator / Developer with proven hands-on experience to assist in reviewing and tactically improving our existing ServiceNow (SNOW) instance. This is a configuration and implementation-focused role, not a strategic advisory position. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-sufficient, and comfortable working within a mature SNOW environment to enhance existing functionality.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a ServiceNow System Administrator / Developer with proven hands-on experience to assist in reviewing and tactically improving our existing ServiceNow (SNOW) instance. This is a configuration and implementation-focused role, not a strategic advisory position. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-sufficient, and comfortable working within a mature SNOW environment to enhance existing functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and improve our current production SNOW instance across core ITSM modules.
- Provide hands-on configuration and administration of:
- Incident Management
- Service Requests
- Change Management
- Employee Service Center (including catalog)
- Business Rule Workflows (e.g., auto-assignment to support groups)
- SNOW User Provisioning
- Analyze and recommend improvements to the onboarding process.
- Share practical SNOW problem-solving resources and examples (e.g., community best practices, knowledge base articles, developer forums).
- Provide guidance on effective engagement with SNOW technical support and customer success reps.
- Suggest improvements within the boundaries of the existing implementation (tactical, not transformational).
Optional / Nice-to-Have (Not required):
- Familiarity with Asset Workspace and experience organizing data from the Agent Client Collector (ACC) for PC asset management.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow System Administrator or Developer
- Strong knowledge of ITSM modules, business rules, workflows, and catalog items
- Experience working in production environments with minimal supervision
- Ability to assess and make tactical configuration improvements without overhauling existing architecture
- Excellent documentation and knowledge-sharing practices
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and semi-technical stakeholders
Engagement Details:
- Hours: 10-20 hours per week
- Duration: 4-6 weeks
- Work Style: Remote; Flexible scheduling
