RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Phoenix, AZ that is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Application Specialist I to join our IT support team.
Summary:
In this role, you will provide second-level support for critical business applications, ensuring smooth operation and timely resolution of issues. You will work closely with frontline IT support, investigate escalated incidents, and fulfill application-specific service requests.
Key Responsibilities:
* Application Specialist I will troubleshoot and resolve application-related incidents and service requests
* Prioritize and schedule tasks to minimize business disruption
* Apply temporary fixes and workarounds to maintain application functionality and security
* Document solutions and update the knowledge base to support future issue resolution
* As an Application Specialist I, you will communicate clearly and promptly with stakeholders regarding new or ongoing issues
* Perform after-hours data changes on production systems as needed
* Take on additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience with knowledge management systems and methodologies
* Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and tools
* Proven ability to support enterprise-level applications in a virtual environment
* Strong analytical skills and understanding of problem identification techniques
* Hands-on experience supporting technology systems
* Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation
* Previous experience with InfoPro and/or AS400 would be a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
