Description

Define requirements, engineer, develop and release U.S. and global conventional ICE passenger vehicle and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) (passenger car, truck, sport utility vehicle, and commercial van) exterior viewing cameras system including front/rear standard view, junction view, bowl view, and side view, and mounting interfaces (front/rear brackets), for active safety features using Siemens NX, Teamcenter Vismockup and Engineering Change Management (ECM) tools. Evaluate and approve cameras and brackets Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and quality and testing reports. Perform and assure Vehicle Program Initiation (VPI) through prototypes to Start of Regular Production (SORP). Develop automotive systems that provide near and far object detection, enabling implementation of safety features in vehicle, such as Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Super Cruise. Develop and define camera performance according to Component Technical Specification (CTS), Subsystem Technical Specification (SSTS), Feature Technical Specification (FTS), and certification compliance with regulations (U.S., Europe, Asia, Middle East and South America) defined by Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS).

Additional Description

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, and one (1) year of experience as an Engineer or related role. Must also have experience with: developing or releasing passenger vehicle viewing camera system or radar system for active safety features using Siemens NX, Teamcenter Vismockup, and Engineering Change Management (ECM) tools.
