Description
Healthcare client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist II to join its Information Services Business Intelligence team. This role is ideal for a data professional who thrives on solving complex healthcare challenges through advanced analytics, machine learning, and data visualization. The Data Scientist II will be responsible for developing and deploying predictive models, uncovering actionable insights, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-informed decision-making across the organization.
This position requires a strong foundation in statistical analysis, programming, and healthcare data systems. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently on complex problems, translating business needs into technical solutions, and communicating findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, clean, and validate data from diverse sources to ensure quality and integrity.
Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze data and generate insights.
Develop and maintain predictive models and algorithms to address business needs.
Create compelling data visualizations for technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinicians, engineers, and analysts.
Document methodologies and findings in alignment with scientific best practices.
Stay current with emerging data science tools and trends.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field (Ph.D. preferred).
3-6 years of experience in healthcare data science or analytics.
Experience with Epic Cognitive Computing and Epic certifications is a plus.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and containerization tools (Docker).
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Epic EMR knowledge and healthcare licensure are desirable.
