Description & Requirements
Bloomberg is a global leader in business and financial information, news and insight, and we use innovative technology to deliver trusted data and bring transparency to the financial markets. Our customers around the globe rely on us for the information and tools they need to make critical investment decisions and remain connected across all sides of the financial community. And, to ensure the best experience for our employees across 176 offices globally, we provide the spaces and systems that allow our teams to work together with agility, productivity and collaboration, no matter where they are.
The Bloomberg Financial Solutions department is at the forefront of ensuring success for our customers and employees alike. Our team comprises several key pillars: sales, service, operations, culture and brand. As a department, we are united by a common goal: We create meaningful relationships with clients by understanding their needs and delivering exceptional end-to-end support from sales and implementation, through their ongoing relationship with Bloomberg.
The world's market leaders in Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities rely upon Bloomberg for transparent data, powerful analytics, and seamless execution. Our market-leading E-Trading solutions help our customers to discover value, trade, and report with total confidence.
E-Trading Implementations play a pivotal role in integrating clients with our FXGO, FIT, EMSX, FixNet, and Tradebook platforms, supporting a multitude of workflows spanning across pre-trade, trade execution, and post-trade cycles. We provide technical advice during pre-sales stages and manage project integrations from inception to go-live-striving to deliver a best-in-class experience for our clients and vendor partners.
What's the Role?
As a member of the E-Trading Implementation team, you will specialize in FX Implementation projects, focusing on the integration of clients onto Bloomberg's award-winning FXGO platform. FXGO is a key pillar of Bloomberg's electronic trading ecosystem, enabling clients to access global liquidity, manage operational risk, and maintain compliance with evolving global regulations.
You will lead complex implementations for both buy-side and sell-side institutions, including global asset managers, hedge funds, regional banks, and corporate treasurers. You'll be responsible for technical pre-sales consultation, project scoping, and full-life-lifecycle delivery. Your work will touch every part of the trading process-from order execution and workflow automation to post-trade processing, settlement matching, and regulatory reporting.
You'll collaborate closely with internal teams, including Sales, Product, Engineering, and Production Support, while also engaging directly with clients, OMS/EMS providers, and third-party post-trade vendors. The ability to anticipate integration risks, manage timelines, and align client expectations is key to success.
We'll Trust You To:
Provide technical pre-sales guidance and design optimal FX trading workflows tailored to client needs
Lead the implementation lifecycle: qualification, scope definition, project planning, testing, go-live, and post-deployment support
Manage timelines, dependencies, and risks to ensure successful delivery of projects
Build and maintain strong partnerships with OMS/EMS vendors, custodians, and post-trade service providers
Actively identify areas for platform improvement based on client feedback and evolving regulatory standards
Stay abreast of market structure changes and regulatory shifts such as T+1 settlement, EMIR REFIT, UMR, and MiFID II
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Sales, Product, and Engineering to refine workflows and drive platform adoption
You'll Need to Have:
Strong domain expertise in FX markets, including Spot, Forwards, Swaps, NDFs, and Options
Deep understanding of FX electronic trading workflows, including trade execution, confirmation, settlement, and STP
Prior experience managing client-facing integration or onboarding projects with financial institutions
Hands-on knowledge of the FIX protocol, SFTP, and API integration
Familiarity with post-trade affirmation/confirmation vendors (e.g., Traiana, DTCC) and trade matching workflows
Proven ability to operate under tight deadlines, multitask, and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels
Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences, with strong relationship-building and troubleshooting skills
We'd Love to See:
Experience with TCA (Transaction Cost Analysis), best execution reporting, or FX analytics platforms
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks including MiFID II, EMIR, UMR, and Dodd-Frank
Exposure to Python scripting for workflow automation or data handling
Familiarity with Bloomberg FX platforms or competitor FX solutions
Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese a strong plus
Understanding of KPIs for implementation success (e.g., client onboarding time, satisfaction, adoption metrics)
What's it Like To Work Here?
We work hard. We are ambitious and set ourselves tough business goals. We are a meritocracy where everyone has a voice - not a job title. Working with people you trust, respect, and can collaborate with is more important than titles or position. Things move fast, and we want people who will enjoy working in this environment and feed off the energy. But it isn't all about work. Giving back is one of our core values, and there are many ways to get involved in philanthropic initiatives from helping local school kids with their reading to helping clean up local parks and waterways.
