Senior Network Engineer
Location: Suburb of Louisville KY.(On-site, 5 days a week)
Overview:
The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure. The role ensures secure, scalable, and high-performing connectivity across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN/wireless networks.
- Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems (Arista, Cisco, FortiGate, PaloAlto).
- Manage on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure).
- Implement network security controls firewalls, ACLs, VPNs, and IDS/IPS.
- Monitor and optimize network performance; troubleshoot complex issues.
- Lead network-related projects and mentor junior engineers.
- Maintain detailed documentation and recommend new technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of hands-on network engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of network security and routing/switching protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs).
- Experience with Arista, Cisco, PaloAlto, or FortiGate systems.
- Cloud networking experience (AWS, Azure, hybrid).
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server, and virtualization.
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Network certifications (CCNA, CCNP) preferred.
