Are you passionate about the environment and love solving complex problems? Are you looking for a challenging role where you can utilize your engineering and project management skills? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Environmental Project Engineer, P.E. to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for designing and managing a broad range of environmental projects. You will play a pivotal role in protecting and improving our environment, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and contributing to our company's sustainable growth.
Responsibilities:
As an Environmental Project Engineer, you will:
1. Develop and implement pollution prevention plans, stormwater management programs, and erosion control measures.
2. Design and manage wastewater treatment systems, grading/earthwork projects, and roadway construction projects.
3. Prepare and oversee the installation of storm sewer, sanitary sewer, pavement, and water main systems.
4. Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to create detailed engineering designs and plans.
5. Coordinate with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal teams, to ensure successful project completion.
6. Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
7. Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations to communicate project status and results.
8. Participate in business development activities, including client relationship management, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
9. Stay updated with the latest environmental regulations, industry trends, and best practices.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental engineering or a related field, with a focus on project management.
4. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
5. Experience in designing and managing pollution prevention plans, stormwater management programs, erosion control measures, wastewater treatment systems, grading/earthwork projects, roadway construction projects, and storm sewer, sanitary sewer, pavement, and water main systems.
6. Knowledge of environmental regulations and standards, including HAZWOPER and OSHA.
7. Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
8. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Experience in business development is a plus.
