Senior Appian Developer

Technology team.

Reporting to the Business Application Development Lead, this position entails support for existing and development of new applications for workflow between front office and back office departments in Appian. The developer will liaise with SMEs directly and is responsible for end to end delivery of this application including requirements capture, build and testing.

Role Objectives:

1. Develop new applications and application enhancements in Appian
2. Provide maintenance/ support of the existing system
3. Code using best practices and ensure minimal maintenance is required.
4. Working with project managers, business analysts and development lead to help daily maintenance, enhancement, and application support activities.
5. Effectively communicate with team members to resolve issues.

Qualifications and Skills

1. 2+ years overall development experience with a focus on web application development.
2. Prior experience with Appian, BPM, or Workflow Development experience would be preferred.
3. Knowledge of Appian development, UI design, defining custom data types, process design
4. Knowledge of web application architecture/design fundamentals
5. Any prior experience with Appian Admin console, administration of application servers would be helpful
6. Familiarity with Appian Integrations, Appian Plug-Ins
7. Familiarity with MS-SQL or equivalent
8. Knowledge of Python, Flask
9. Skill for good visual design and graphics
10. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
11. Strong verbal and written communication skills
12. BS in Computer Science, MS in Computer Science is a plus
