Job Opportunity: Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer New York City Office

Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our Global IT Operations team. In this role, you will be essential in designing, implementing, supporting, and maintaining our cloud and on-premises infrastructure, particularly focusing on Azure, AWS, Citrix Cloud, VMware, Cisco HCI, and Nutanix.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers in managing daily operations and project tasks within the Global IT Operations team.
• Oversee and support Cloud IaaS and PaaS services in Azure and AWS.
• Manage and support virtualized environments including Citrix, VMware, and Nutanix.
• Assist in integrating new cloud-based services into existing infrastructure.
• Respond to technical escalations related to wired and wireless network issues.
• Plan and execute system upgrades and migrations with minimal operational disruption while maintaining data integrity.
• Conduct patch management to deploy necessary security updates on PCs and servers.
• Monitor infrastructure and services, proactively identifying and resolving performance issues, bottlenecks, and vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement infrastructure security measures, including identity and access management, network security, and data protection.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to HCI and cloud infrastructure services.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools like Terraform or Ansible to automate cloud server and application management.
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
• Conduct training sessions for end-users to improve their understanding and utilization of IT resources.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft systems administration, Citrix, VMware, and cloud technologies.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud networking (public, private, and hybrid/multi-cloud) and on-premises networking technologies.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing IT teams and vendor/MSP relationships.
• Extensive experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure.
• Proven knowledge of Azure PaaS and SaaS services such as AKS, Synapse Analytics, Power BI, and Azure OpenAI.
• Proficient in Linux, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and other O365 applications.
• Strong expertise in supporting native applications, particularly Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Cisco HCI (Hyperflex, UCS, HXDP).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.

Work Schedule
Our client supports an agile work schedule, which may vary based on role, local office practices, market trends, and business objectives. This position offers a hybrid work schedule of three days in the office and two days remote.
