Job Details

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a Law Enforcement Analyst in Miami, FL.

Duties Include:
* Analyst researches, designs, and develops statistical and analytical products from a variety of police and other law data for purposes of reporting trends and patterns; Data sources include but are not limited to crime, arrest, calls for service, population estimate, and economic data (or any combination thereof)
* Develops analytical products and models (and supporting documentation) using data science techniques and skills; Analytical products include (but are not limited to): crime trend analyses, repeat offender analysis, projections and forecasts, research papers, policy, and program impact analyses, needs assessment, population studies, and other analyses to support client's strategic agenda
* Uses Geographic Information System (GIS) software to analyze crime trends and develop point, hot spot/density, and other maps for presentations to Command Staff, other client members, other government agencies, and the general public
* Keeps abreast of national law enforcement policies and new program initiatives; Networks with other agencies and explores other police agency's online documents; Assists in establishing appropriate benchmarks and research evaluation criteria
* Collaborates with fellow crime analysis team members regularly-works to provide proactive and innovative solutions to complex analytical challenges related to law enforcement, repeat offenders, and crime trends
* Designs and conducts surveys and program evaluations; Recommends corrections and improvements to newly implemented law enforcement programs based on findings of program

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree required; Fields of particular interest are Criminal Justice, Economics, Sociology, Public Policy, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar
* At least two years of experience as a crime or intelligence analyst or skill-equivalent role is preferred
* Proficient computer skills, especially GIS Mapping and Microsoft Office 365
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
