DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Position Overview
The Enterprise Architect will provide architectural leadership and strategic direction for a SaaS integration project. This role will focus on cloud integration, enterprise architecture governance. The architect will work across business and technical teams to design, validate, and oversee end-to-end system integration, ensuring quality, scalability, and compliance with state enterprise policies.
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise-level architecture design for a SaaS-based system integration with internal & external systems.
- Develop and maintain architectural frameworks, roadmaps, and solution designs aligned with enterprise and cloud strategies.
- Partner with Quality Assurance and development teams to establish architectural standards for testing, validation, and performance assurance.
- Oversee integration architecture involving cloud platforms and legacy systems, ensuring data security, reliability, and interoperability.
- Review and validate vendor solutions and third-party integrations for technical alignment and compliance.
- Provide architectural guidance on financial system integrations.
- Ensure that architecture documentation, design artifacts, and system interfaces meet State of Texas enterprise requirements.
- Support system testing, migration, and go-live activities through technical oversight and architectural validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including project management, QA, business analysts, and development teams.
Required Skills and Experience
- 8+ years of experience as an Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect, or Senior Technical Lead.
- Strong background in cloud integration architecture and SaaS application design.
- Experience working with SaaS systems, standards, or related enterprise-level technology projects.
- Proven ability to design and oversee enterprise integrations ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Understanding of Quality Assurance processes and their alignment with architecture and system validation.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with state or government cloud environments (e.g., Azure Gov, AWS GovCloud).
- Certification in TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architecture, or other enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Prior experience supporting financial management systems.
- Strong understanding of security, data governance, and compliance frameworks for government systems.
