Job Title: Drupal UI/UX Designer and Developer

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Drupal UI/UX Designer and Developer to support the design and development of responsive, accessible, and user-centered digital experiences. This hybrid role blends front-end design with advanced Drupal development and requires expertise in accessibility standards, content migration, and site administration.
This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, turning complex requirements into intuitive and inclusive web solutions that align with both user needs and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project goals and user needs.
Design and develop Drupal websites using custom themes, templates, and front-end components.
Lead and implement content migration, including bulk transfers, taxonomy setup, and metadata configuration.
Build responsive, standards-compliant front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to iterate and refine design concepts.
Configure Drupal elements such as content types, views, menus, blocks, and user roles.
Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to guide design and content decisions.
Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards, optimizing for assistive technologies.
Optimize site performance and ensure compatibility across devices and browsers.
Provide training and documentation for internal teams on Drupal site building and theming.
Mentor team members and promote best practices in Drupal development and design.
Stay updated on UI/UX trends, accessibility standards, and Drupal advancements.
Preferred Qualifications:
4 6 years of experience in UI/UX design and front-end development.
3+ years of hands-on Drupal (v9 or higher) experience, including theming and site administration.
Expertise in WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards, including remediation and testing.
Experience with Drupal content migration and taxonomy configuration.
Proficiency with front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Foundation) and JavaScript libraries (e.g., jQuery, React).
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
Skilled in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Illustrator, or Photoshop.
Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven ability to train and mentor team members on Drupal best practices.
Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Computer Science, HCI, Graphic Design, or equivalent experience.
