Job Details

Job Title: Quality Assurance Analyst
Location: Phoenix, AZ Hybrid (10% onsite / 90% remote)
Employment Type: Contract


The Quality Assurance Analyst supports the testing and validation of internally developed applications, including both .NET and Oracle systems. This role develops test plans, creates test cases, and documents software defects to ensure the quality and functionality of applications used by internal business units and external taxpayers.


Your role:


  • Analyze requirements to develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases.
  • Document software defects and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
  • Perform quality assurance testing for .NET and Oracle-based applications.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements review through user acceptance testing.
  • Maintain organized records of test results, issues, and resolutions.
  • Utilize tools such as Azure DevOps, TFS, and Altova to manage testing activities.
  • Work independently or collaboratively across teams to support project deliverables.
  • Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, isolate, and resolve system issues.
  • Uphold data confidentiality and adhere to organizational policies and standards.

What you ve got:


  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
  • At least two years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
  • Understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and software development processes.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in high-pressure environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and QA tools such as Azure DevOps, TFS, and Altova.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check including Arizona tax compliance and Level One fingerprint clearance.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, excellence, and ethical conduct.
  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
