About the Client:

Our client is a leading data center colocation provider delivering mission-critical infrastructure to enterprise customers. They are committed to operational excellence, uptime, and delivering best-in-class support across power, cooling, and physical infrastructure systems.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Data Center Operations Technician to join the team responsible for monitoring and maintaining critical power, cooling, and environmental systems. This NOC-style role focuses on ensuring continuous availability and reliability across the facility's infrastructure. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, 24/7 operations environment and has a strong understanding of data center facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor data center power, cooling, and environmental systems via DCIM/BMS tools.
  • Respond to alarms and incidents, escalating issues as needed.
  • Perform routine inspections and documentation of critical systems.
  • Coordinate with engineering, facilities, and IT teams for maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain shift logs, reports, and operational documentation.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols to ensure uptime and compliance.


Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in data center operations, critical facilities, or industrial building management.
  • Familiarity with UPS systems, CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, generators, and PDUs.
  • Experience with DCIM or Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 shift environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications such as Data Center Technician (DCT), Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Technician, or equivalent.
  • Electrical or mechanical background, technical diploma, or associate degree in facilities, HVAC, or electrical systems.
  • Experience in a colocation or enterprise data center environment
