Senior Network Design Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer (Design Focus) for a long-term contract opportunity in Austin, Texas.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of data network infrastructure with a focus on enterprise-level scalability and security.
Apply deep knowledge of network security principles and Cisco technologies to ensure secure and reliable IT service delivery.
Assess and analyze business and technical requirements, and translate them into effective network architecture solutions.
Execute comprehensive test plans and support user acceptance testing processes.
Coordinate and facilitate meetings with stakeholders to capture, analyze, and communicate requirements clearly to technical teams.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design secure, efficient, and scalable network solutions for the state of Texas.
You:
8+ years background in gathering and analyzing business requirements and developing network specifications.
8+ years in the design, development, and deployment of data network infrastructure.
8+ years applying network security principles within complex environments.
8+ years working with Cisco technologies and following industry best practices.
8+ years involved in network design assessment and leading enterprise-level network initiatives.
8+ years executing test plans, coordinating testing efforts, and supporting user acceptance testing.
8+ years of proven ability to work with stakeholders and development teams to define business needs and translate them for technical teams.
Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE) certification preferred.
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification preferred.
