Onsite/Local Network Engineer (12+) with Monitoring/optimization, SEIM, NOC Ticketing, Security experience

Location: Tallahassee, FL (DMS)
Duration: 12 Months

Qualifications
a. The Contractor s personnel shall have a bachelor s degree in computer science, information systems, or another related field, or equivalent work experience.
b. The Contractor s personnel shall have 3 to 5 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/network environments performing network engineering (hardware and/or software), design, planning and implementation.
c. The Contractor s personnel shall have an advanced professional level of experience. As well as the ability to work on projects/systems of medium to high complexity surrounding network planning, configuration, and optimization.
d. The Contractor s personnel may work on one or more projects as a project team member, occasionally as a project team lead, and may be asked to coach more junior technical staff.
e. The Contractor s personnel must pass Background Screening and Security Requirements as described in Section 16 of this RFQ and any other requirements that may be listed herein.

SCOPE OF WORK
The Department anticipates that the selected vendor will provide hourly assistance to DivTel in the following areas:
The DivTel Engineering team is responsible for overseeing and controlling the State Network s operations. This involves using various Network Monitoring tools, such as SEIM tools and the Network Operations Center ticketing system.
The Contractor s personnel shall work within DivTel s Bureau of Engineering on project tasks as assigned by the DivTel lead engineer that include, but are not limited to, the following:

Work Tasks
a. Monitoring the State Network s performance.
b. Managing alerts and tickets generated by the network monitoring tools.
c. Implementing necessary configurations and adjustments to ensure optimal network functionality.
d. Monitoring and assisting in reporting issues with the network/system for greatest performance.
e. Providing timely updates and reports on the network s status to relevant stakeholders.
f. Collaborating with other teams to troubleshoot and resolve any network issues promptly.
g. Ensuring the security of deployed applications.
h. . Providing technical documentation of work performed in standard project team format.
i. Performing network maintenance activities on current SEIM monitoring tools.
