Schneider Electric USA, Inc. seeks a Lead Firmware Engineer in Morrisville, NC.

Job Description: Conduct research development of Firmware and hardware combinations for new designs with potential patentable solutions. Expand and modify existing electrical system firmware using an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) to meet marketing requirements. Perform electrical product development of embedded firmware solution whose specification and architecture are defined. Adhere to Project Development and product evolution tools and processes. Conduct firmware design reviews with peers to gain knowledge on best practices. Provide post-product-launch customer support. Work with the formal verification team to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret electrical firmware product developmental tests for new and modified products. Work with 3rd party certification agencies such as Underwriters Laboratories (UL). 20% travel required to Iowa for PI planning activities and test support. Eligible for remote work up to 3 days per week.

Requirements: Position requires a Master's or Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and progressive, post-bachelor's experience (3 years with Master's or 5 years with Bachelor's) in embedded firmware development in a manufacturing product-based environment or related occupation, which must include at least some education or experience in the following skills: Embedded Kernal development, including firmware and new software; Firmware testing; Wireless communication setup; Secure Boot development; Development for 32-bit microcontroller-based designs; and Coding with C Language for microcontroller applications.
