Job Title: AWS Cloud Engineer
Location: On-Site Spring, Texas
Job Type: Long-Term Contract Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Engineer for a long-term, on-site contract role in Spring, Texas. The ideal candidate will have deep experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure at scale, with strong proficiency in Terraform, GitHub, and CI/CD pipeline integration. This is a platform engineering role, not focused on application development or migration. Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and reliable AWS cloud environments.

  • Administer AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and key services including AWS Config, Security Hub, SCPs, and RCPs.

  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for automating infrastructure provisioning and policy management.

  • Integrate infrastructure workflows with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and related DevOps tools.

  • Ensure cloud infrastructure meets performance, security, and cost optimization goals.

  • Implement and enforce cloud governance policies to maintain compliance with industry standards.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure issues across AWS services.

  • Stay current with the latest AWS offerings, best practices, and industry trends.

  • Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

  • Provide cost optimization recommendations, including budget creation, alerting, and cost visibility dashboards for application teams.

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud engineering.

  • Strong, demonstrated experience managing AWS Organizations, Control Tower, Config, Security Hub, SCPs, etc.

  • Proficiency with Terraform for IaC.

  • Experience using GitHub for version control and integrating with CI/CD pipelines.

  • Familiarity with managing AWS through automation and infrastructure pipelines.

  • Solid understanding of cloud governance, cost optimization, and compliance practices.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
